What’s New?! 4/19
Happy Weekend Friends!
New additions to the menu are fun and interesting! I have added new options for ordering, to fix the lack of ability in ordering multiple of the same loaves. I have created a few new food options, and I am so excited to share with you!!
I made Vanilla Cupcakes with Caramel Buttercream Frosting and drizzled caramel on top, finished with a sprinkle of sea salt flakes.
I have added these to the menu, and have gotten much better with frosting the cupcakes. It’s been a struggle for me. My art is in the flavor, not the design. It’s a thing. Anyway! You will be able to find these cupcakes in 3 packs, or by the dozen. You can also order a normal size cupcake, or 6 normal size cupcakes, or a dozen normal size cupcakes. Do, check the order form!
These cupcakes are rich in flavor, but not too crazy sweet. I know. I know. All that sugar!
I can’t believe it either!!
My Next item is the Salted Caramel Brownie cookies. These are sweet. I went back to my original recipe, and cannot be happier! I tried a different method using sourdough, and they spread SO badly! Now, they’re gorgeous, uniform, and delicious with the brownie look I was missing from the sourdough version. I think these ones taste better too. I can’t lie.
Before you ask, The answer is yes. I made the caramel, too. ;) I have a coworker that makes suggestions and I’m like, “hm. Maybe .” Then, the weekend after her suggestions, I make it.
These Salted Caramel Brownie Cookies are truly to die for. I don’t mean to “toot my own horn” but Yum!
Also, I added the mini cookies to the menu for purchase. You have to order them by the dozen though. The mini cookies are 1/3 of the big cookie size, so that’s why they will have to be purchased by the dozen. I won’t split up the mini cookies either. They will be just all one flavor per dozen. The beauty? 12 mini Chocolate chip cookies are only $7! Mini Brownie Cookies also $7! Mini Salted Caramel Brownie Cookies are $9.
I will make non-sourdough breads as well. I tried my hand at an “artisan” loaf, adding pepperoni, cheese, and Italian herbs, and it was delicious! Next time I will back immediately after the rise and no refrigeration after letting it rise. I will add an option to make any loaf a yeast loaf, since some people don’t like the sourdough.
Here’s the Artisan Pizza Loaf I made for one of the retiring surgeons. That’s for him to share. I made him his very own 3 mini loaves of 3 different flavors.
I tried my hand at Salted Caramel Chews! These chews are softer than a chew, but absolutely delicious! They melt in your mouth, and are bursting with that caramel flavor and a touch of salt. I really do love adding salt to my sweets. It takes the intense sweetness from the desserts, allowing you to eat them without feeling overwhelmed with extreme sweetness. I even wrapped them and made them look legit in super cute wax paper wrappings. As of right now, I won’t be selling the caramels until they are the correct consistency, even if they ARE delicious.
